Cause & Origin
We were retained to inspect claimed wind damage to a residential structure. The existing roof had two layers of composition shingles. The roof had numerous missing tabs and partial shingles on all slopes, of which, most of the missing tabs and partial shingles remained on the roof. Our determination is the missing tabs and partially missing shingles was not the result of wind pressures acting on the roof but was the result of vandalism claimed as wind damage.
