We are Highland Engineering, P.C. headquartered in Cary, IL with a second location in Skokie, IL. Since our founding in 2002, we have focused our practice on providing consulting and forensic engineering to a variety of clients. Our primary markets are the construction industry for consulting services and the legal and insurance community for forensic services.

The primary responsibilities for this position are design work and forensic engineering assignments. The design work for this position is structural engineering for various building projects from the start of the project through completion. The forensic assignments will include field work – performing detailed inspections, thorough documentation and photographs and preparing written reports. Training for the forensic engineering assignments will be provided.

In this position you will be an integral part of the Highland Engineering team. You will work closely with the owner and clients in either the Cary office or the Skokie office.

–   An active PE or SE license is required for this position   –

You will be ideal for this position if you are:

  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Design Software (Risa, Tedds)
  • Skilled at hand and computer calculations
  • Capable to lift and move ladders/equipment up to 100 pounds
  • Dedicated to providing excellent customer service skills
  • Top-notch interpersonal and communications abilities
